Chhaava The novel begins with Sambhaji Maharaj's early life, marked by political conspiracies, familial tensions, and the burden of expectations as the heir to the Maratha Empire. He was a gifted warrior, scholar, and administrator, fluent in several languages, including Sanskrit, Persian, and Marathi. However, Sambhaji’s life was tumultuous, as he faced betrayal and misunderstandings even within his family.
